• Spybot Search & Destroy: Free spyware utility. Identifies and removes lots of uneeded, and often harmful, files.

• AdAware: Another free utility that complements SpyBot S&D. It finds items that may have been missed first time around.

• SpywareBlaster: Also free, this one works to keep the spyware at bay after you've cleaned it off your machine.

• AVG Anti Virus (free edition): A full featured anti-virus program for free? When your subscription to Norton or McAfee gets disabled or corrupted by a trojan horse run AVG to scan and delete the baddies! You can temporarily disable your primary AV program to run this one.

• Clean Up: One click removal of all temporary files and other clutter that can clog a system. Read instructions carefully and back up sensitive data before removing anything... just in case!

• RegSeeker: Careful with this one but it can be a very handy tool to clean your registry after removing any undesirables from your computer. Always make a back up of your registry before altering your registry. This tool makes it easier to do than RegEdit.
